Post Graduates and Trainees Session
A special session will be organised exclusively for the Post Graduates. All papers presented will be from trainees. They will be divided into four sessions:
General Plastic Surgery and Burns.
Hand and Microsurgery.
Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery.
Aesthetic Surgery.
While the papers will be from the trinees the chairpersons for the sessions will be senior accomplished surgeons in the field. There will be enough time for discussion wherein the senior people will critically evaluate and constructively comment on the presentation. At the end of the session there will be four general talks each for 10 minutes duration.
The topics will be:
Equipping for the future – What a trainee should do when he is a trainee?
Coping with the dissatisfied patient.
Establishing practice – Flying solo.
Establishing practice – Entering into a team.
The whole session will be exclusively for Post Graduates and for people within one year after qualification. The Post Graduates interested in presenting papers will send in their papers . This will be evaluated by the committee and graded before giving the opportunity for presenting. Five papers can be discussed in each category.
Quiz Competition
The Organising Committee has planned to conduct a Quiz Competition. Four teams of two members each will be selected based on a written examination (50 questions of multiple choice). This will be conducted on the evening of 8th September 2011 towards the end of the CME (at Le Meridien). Each participant will have to take the test separately and the combined total of the team members will help us decide the teams. The finals will be on the morning of 11th September 2011 and it will be a plenary session. The Quiz Master is Dr. Vijay Joseph from Bangalore, the IT Capital of India. M/s Reddy’s Laboratories will be the sponsors to this event and we have very handsome prizes for the winning teams:
